Did you know that over 40% of shoulder symptoms actually come from the neck? That’s why every motivPT evaluation kicks off with checking your spine to ensure that your symptoms aren’t mistakenly attributed to where you feel them. Dr. Alex will start by going over your medical history and then ask about your symptoms—like what makes them worse and what helps ease them.
He’ll perform a mechanical assessment, looking at your range of motion, movement quality, and any pain or limitations you might have. He’ll also check how spinal movements affect your baseline symptoms. After that, he will guide you through some repeated movements of the affected joint and see how these impact your symptoms. This thorough assessment will help uncover any mechanical issues in your shoulder joint and the surrounding soft tissue.
Once this detailed evaluation is wrapped up, we will share tips on self-treatment and create a personalized exercise program just for you!
