Fort Collins is home to an active community that enjoys cycling, hiking, running, and spending time outdoors year round. Whether exploring Horsetooth Reservoir, walking trails at Lory State Park, commuting across the city by bike, or working in education, healthcare, or technology, everyday activities can place repeated stress on the muscles and joints. Combined with prolonged sitting and repetitive movements, these habits commonly contribute to neck pain and headaches, shoulder pain, elbow pain, knee pain, and ankle pain and sprains. Understanding these local lifestyle factors can help residents recognize early symptoms and stay active with greater confidence.
Many Fort Collins residents balance desk work with outdoor recreation, creating movement patterns that may lead to muscle tension and poor posture. Long hours using computers, frequent cycling, and looking down at mobile devices can increase strain on the neck, often resulting in recurring headaches or stiffness. Early assessment and targeted movement strategies can improve flexibility, support healthy posture, and reduce the likelihood of persistent discomfort.
Shoulder and elbow pain are common among people who enjoy climbing, tennis, pickleball, weight training, and kayaking, as well as those working in physically demanding occupations. Repetitive lifting, overhead activities, and improper movement mechanics can gradually increase joint stress. Personalized physical therapy can help restore strength, improve mobility, and support a safe return to work, fitness, and outdoor activities.
Running scenic trails, hiking foothill paths, and participating in recreational sports can place additional demands on the knees and ankles. Uneven terrain, sudden changes in direction, and previous injuries may increase the risk of knee pain and ankle sprains. Professional assessment helps identify movement limitations, while individualized exercise programs improve stability, balance, and confidence, helping Fort Collins residents continue enjoying the active Colorado lifestyle.

You self-schedule your free 15-minute consult. At your consult, we'll talk about your movement goals and any pain you're experiencing. We'll then get you scheduled for your Body Assessment.
Schedule your 30-minute Body Assessment and complete the Self Report you’ll be emailed upon scheduling. Log in to your HIPPA-compliant patient portal 5-10 mins before your visit. Be dressed in something you can move in!
Start your 8-week program the next day with your first Home Exercise Playlist, which you’ll access through your patient portal or our PTEverywhere app. Your program will change each day with exercises cycling in and out, so logging in daily is important.
Schedule a 15-minute check-in (recommend 1-2 weeks after the Body Assessment). Know that if something comes up or if you're not making expected gradual progress, you can schedule 15-minute check-ins anytime!
We want to know how you're doing and the patient message board is a great way to give us updates or seek clarification on less urgent issues.
